Description
Hard, limescale-rich water is a well-known problem in most Swiss municipalities. Especially in the cantons of Jura, Basel-Land, and the Mittelland region, hard to very hard water can be expected. Hard water has numerous disadvantages: in addition to the calcification of fixtures and household appliances, detergent consumption increases.
After extensive development by the engineers at Riva Wasserfiltertechnik, we are now able to offer a chemical-free limescale inhibitor.
The operating principle of our rivaALVA KALK limescale inhibitor is based on the natural principle of seed crystal formation. As soon as the drinking water comes into contact with our granulate, the limescale contained within it begins to grow on the granulate in the form of tiny crystals. These limescale crystals are detached from the surface of the granulate and flushed out through the pipe network without being able to settle on other surfaces. This significantly reduces limescale deposits on surfaces.

Service Life
The filter cartridge must be replaced after 6 months (according to DIN 1988). The recommended maximum flow rate is 8,000 liters. Depending on water quality, especially with a noticeably reduced water flow, a filter cartridge change may be necessary at shorter intervals.
